Key Responsibilities

- Prepare electrical design drawings for transmission and substation projects.
- Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD), schematic diagrams, wiring and interconnection drawings.
- Prepare substation equipment layout, cable routing, trench layout and earthing layouts.
- Prepare drawings for CT, PT/CVT, LA, isolator, circuit breaker, transformer, busbar and other substation equipment.
- Prepare control, protection, metering and relay wiring drawings.
- Develop cable schedules, termination schedules and equipment schedules.
- Prepare earthing and lightning protection system drawings.
- Prepare electrical BOQ/MTO based on approved designs and drawings.
- Review engineering drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, protection & commissioning teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Incorporate site modifications and prepare as-built drawings.
- Check drawings for accuracy, consistency and completeness before submission.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants and site teams for drawing approvals and technical clarifications.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions and technical documents.
- Provide technical support to the site team during installation,



testing and commissioning.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in Transmission Line and Substation projects preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical drafting/design software.
- Knowledge of 33kV/66kV/132kV/220kV/400kV substation systems will be an advantage.
- Positive understanding of electrical protection, control and switchyard equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical drawings, SLDs, schematics and cable schedules.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications and technical documents.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant IS/IEC standards and utility requirements preferred.

Experience 2–5 years of experience in electrical design/drafting, preferably in transmission lines, substations, switchyards or power infrastructure projects.
