Electrical Engineer - ELV

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical System Design:

- Design internal and external LV electrical systems:

- Power distribution and panel room layout

- Internal and external lighting

- Emergency and exit lighting

- Earthing and lightning protection

- Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations.

- Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), lighting layouts, power layouts, and circuiting diagrams.

- Design and coordinate generator, UPS, and transformer systems where applicable.

- Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, NBC, NEC, and local utility authority regulations.

ELV System Design:

- Design Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems including:

- Fire Alarm and Detection Systems

- CCTV and Surveillance

- Access Control and Security Systems

- Public Address (PA) System

- Data & Telephone (Structured Cabling) Systems

- IPTV / SMATV / Intercom Systems

- Develop ELV riser diagrams, schematics, device layouts, and integration points.

- Coordinate ELV systems with electrical, HVAC, and architectural teams for clash-free design.

- Support in preparing NOC submission documentation for fire and telecom authorities





Design & Coordination:

- Prepare shop drawings, GFC (Valuable for Construction) drawings, and as-built drawings.

- Use AutoCAD and optionally Revit for BIM coordination.

- Assist in preparing technical specifications and BOQs.

- Coordinate with site teams and vendors during execution to ensure design compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

- Experience: 38 years in electrical and ELV design within the building services sector

- Software Skills:

- AutoCAD (mandatory)

- Revit MEP (preferred)

- Dialux/Relux (lighting design)

- MS Excel (for load and voltage drop calculations)

Knowledge of Codes: IEC, IS, NBC, NEC, NFPA, and local electrical/fire authority norms

Deliverables:

- Electrical and ELV design drawings (schematic & detailed)

- Load schedules, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculation sheets

- Technical specifications and BOQs

- Coordination and clash detection reports

- Authority submission and NOC packages
