We are seeking a skilled Component Engineer with experience in Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical Component Selection for industrial products, semiconductor equipment, and machinery applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for component qualification, lifecycle management, technical evaluation, supplier coordination, and ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform component selection and qualification for Electrical, Electronics, and Electromechanical parts.
- Evaluate and recommend components based on technical specifications, cost, availability, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Work closely with design, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing teams to support new product development and sustaining engineering activities.
- Manage component databases and maintain component engineering records.
- Conduct CEG (Component Engineering Group) activities including standardization, part approval, and lifecycle management.
- Analyze component obsolescence risks and drive alternate part identification and qualification.
- Support Semiconductor and Industrial Equipment/Machinery product development projects.
- Review supplier documentation, datasheets, PCNs (Product Change Notices), and EOL (End of Life) notifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams for component sourcing and technical clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions related to component failures.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Component Selection (Electrical, Electronics & Electromechanical).
- Experience working with Component Engineering Group (CEG) processes.
- Knowledge of Semiconductor, Industrial Equipment, or Machinery domains.
- Understanding of component specifications, datasheets, and qualification methodologies.
- Experience with BOM (Bill of Materials) management and engineering change processes.
- Familiarity with component lifecycle management and obsolescence management.
- Knowledge of industry standards and component reliability principles.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
- Experience with PLM/ERP systems and component databases.
- Exposure to supplier quality management and component qualification processes.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment or industrial automation products is preferred.
