Location: Any Infosys Location in India

We are looking for an experienced Eggplant Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Eggplant Functional / Eggplant Test and SenseTalk scripting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in UI automation, image-based automation, end-to-end testing, API testing, CI/CD integration, and automation framework development. This role will work closely with QA, Development, Product, and DevOps teams to improve test coverage, accelerate regression testing, and ensure high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Eggplant Functional / Eggplant Test.

- Develop reusable automation components and frameworks using SenseTalk.
- Automate end-to-end business workflows across web, desktop, and supported applications.
- Build robust image-based and UI automation solutions using Eggplant capabilities.
- Develop and maintain smoke, regression, functional, integration, and system test suites.
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into automation scenarios.
- Implement synchronization, dynamic image recognition, error handling, recovery mechanisms, and reusable components.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze failures, logs, screenshots, and test results.
- Integrate Eggplant automation suites with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Perform API testing and backend validation, preferably using REST APIs.
- Integrate automated testing with Jira and test-management/defect-tracking tools.
- Implement data-driven testing and manage test data across multiple environments.




- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, defect triage, and release activities.
- Maintain automation documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics.
- Mentor junior automation engineers and contribute to automation standards and best practices.

Required Skills• 5+ years of experience in QA/Test Automation.

- Solid hands-on experience with Eggplant Functional / Eggplant Test.
- Advanced experience with SenseTalk scripting.
- Strong understanding of Eggplant image-based automation and image recognition.
- Experience designing and developing reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of:

- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- Data-Driven Testing

•Experience testing web and desktop applications.

- Experience with API testing, preferably REST APIs.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
- Experience with Jira or similar defect-management tools.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills• Experience with Eggplant DAI (Digital Automation Intelligence).

- Experience implementing Eggplant automation solutions from the ground up.




- Experience migrating manual regression suites to Eggplant automation.
- Knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, UFT, or other automation technologies.
- Programming experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Experience with Git/source-control systems.
- Experience executing automation across multiple environments and platforms.
- Knowledge of performance testing and accessibility testing is a plus.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale applications and distributed Agile teams.
