Job Role

- CNC Wire EDM Operator / Programmer

Programming Key Responsibilities:

- Use CAD/CAM software such as CREO, Fikus, AutoCAD, or specialized macro software to create, write, and optimize cutting programs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Generate accurate cutting paths according to component specifications.

Machine Setup & Operation

- Set up and operate CNC Wire EDM machines.
- Thread the wire and adjust cutting parameters such as voltage, cutting speed, and wire tension.
- Select the appropriate wire type and size based on the job requirements.
- Monitor the cutting process and ensure smooth machine operation.
- Operate Super Drilling Machines as required.

Quality Control

- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as:

- Vernier Calipers

- Micrometers

- Height Gauges
- Ensure components meet specified dimensions and tolerances.




- Check and maintain the required surface finish and overall quality.

Machine Maintenance

- Perform daily cleaning and basic upkeep of the Wire EDM machine.
- Monitor machine performance and identify operational issues.
- Troubleshoot wire breaks and minor machine errors during cutting.
- Report major machine faults to the maintenance team or supervisor.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience in programming and operating CNC Wire EDM machines.
- Good computer skills and experience with:

- CREO

- Fikus

- AutoCAD
- Ability to design and generate accurate cutting paths.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Working knowledge of Super Drilling Machines.
- Solid attention to detail and quality standards.
