About the role

This position plays a key role in shaping high-quality narrative content by combining editorial expertise with creative insight. You’ll be responsible for elevating scripts to meet storytelling, cultural, and brand standards across formats. The role involves working at the intersection of human creativity and AI-generated content, ensuring scripts feel authentic, engaging, and audience-ready.

You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to refine voice, tone, and emotional flow. Attention to detail and sensitivity to audience context are essential.

What You’ll Do

- Act as primary liaison between contracted fiction writers and PocketFM's editorial team, facilitating clear communication and creative alignment




- Review and assess UGC submissions with PocketFM's audio-first format and audience engagement in mind
- Provide constructive, sensitive feedback that honors writers' creative vision while implementing editorial guidance for optimal audio storytelling
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with writers to discuss revisions, story development, and editorial direction suited to PocketFM's serialized format
- Translate high-level editorial concepts into actionable, writer-friendly guidance that aligns with PocketFM's content standards
- Mentor writers through the revision process while maintaining project timelines and PocketFM's quality standards
- Collaborate with editorial team to ensure consistency in creative direction and brand voice across PocketFM's content library
- Document writer feedback and track progress on editorial recommendations within PocketFM's content management systems

What We Need

- Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or related field
- Solid background in fiction writing with demonstrated understanding of narrative craft
- Experience with serialized or episodic content preferred
- Understanding of audio storytelling principles is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience providing constructive feedback on creative work
