Job Summary:

VAAGDHARA is looking for a dynamic and committed individual with relevant qualification and experience in the development sector. The position requires strong competencies in development communication, documentation, report writing, storytelling, and multimedia communication for community-centered development processes.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Technical Support Unit and coordinate with programme teams to document grassroots processes, learnings, and impact narratives emerging from VAAGDHARA's initiatives. The role demands excellent writing and communication skills in Hindi and English, along with proficiency in digital platforms and multimedia tools.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect and document success stories, case studies, testimonials, photographs, videos, and field learnings for reports and communication materials.
- Support preparation of donor reports, annual reports, project reports, grant applications, and organizational publications.
- Create content for newsletters, brochures, presentations, websites, social media platforms, campaigns, and regional events.
- Draft official letters, press notes, and communication materials as required.
- Proofread and edit communication collaterals to ensure clarity, coherence, and quality.
- Support multimedia communication through photography, videography, digital storytelling, and social media engagement.
- Travel regularly to rural and tribal regions for field documentation and community interactions.

Preferred Skills:

- Excellent writing and editing skills in Hindi and English.




- Strong understanding of development communication and grassroots documentation.
- Ability to develop compelling stories with strong written, oral, and visual communication skills.
- Proficiency in Illustrator or other tools for designing, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other digital communication tools.
- Understanding of social media and multimedia platforms.
- Skilled in photography, videography, and design.
- Ability to work across teams and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel extensively in rural and tribal areas.

Desired Educational Qualification: Master's degree in mass communication, Journalism, Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, or any other relevant discipline with relevant experience in documentation and communication in the development sector.
