Summary

We are looking for an experienced Director – Oil & Gas & Energy Transition Consulting to join a leading global consulting organization. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in the Oil & Gas sector, strong consulting capabilities, and proven business development experience to drive strategic engagements with leading upstream, midstream, and downstream clients.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in Business Development, Strategy Consulting, Energy Transition, and Advisory Services across Oil & Gas, LNG, Natural Gas, Pipelines, City Gas Distribution (CGD), Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, CCUS, and Compressed Bio Gas (CBG). The role offers an opportunity to lead high-impact consulting assignments, build client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the Energy practice.

Responsibilities

1. Drive business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth for the Oil & Gas and Energy Transition consulting practice.
2. Lead strategic consulting engagements including Strategy Development, Business Planning, Feasibility Studies, Market Assessment, M&A;, Commercial & Technical Due Diligence, Transaction Advisory, Bid Advisory, and Digital Transformation.
3. Build and manage relationships with clients across Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, LNG, Natural Gas, Pipelines, Terminals, and City Gas Distribution (CGD).
4.



Lead consulting assignments focused on Energy Transition initiatives including Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, CCUS, Compressed Bio Gas (CBG), and Decarbonization.
5. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across government agencies, PSUs, financial institutions, and multinational organizations to deliver strategic advisory engagements.
6. Lead project delivery, mentor consulting teams, ensure profitability, and contribute to practice development and organizational growth.

Requirements

1. 12–20 years of experience in Oil & Gas Consulting, Energy Consulting, or Strategy Consulting.
2. MBA or equivalent qualification from a reputed institute.
3. Proven experience in Business Development, Client Relationship Management, Consulting, and Practice Building.
4. Strong expertise across Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, LNG, Natural Gas, Pipelines, Terminals, City Gas Distribution (CGD), and Energy Transition.
5. Experience in Strategy Consulting, Business Planning, Feasibility Studies, Transaction Advisory, Due Diligence, Bid Advisory, Government Advisory, and Digital Transformation.
6. Candidates from Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, TERI, CEEW, Aurora Energy Research, Firstgreen Consulting, Wood Mackenzie, Rystad Energy, Guidehouse, ICF, Worley, AFRY, DNV, Technip Energies, or similar consulting organizations will be preferred.
