Job Summary The Director, Agile Product is a senior-level position responsible for managing and overseeing a team/group of product managers and/or product owners and product analysts, who, in turn, manage different products or feature sets. The Director, Agile Product has broad product management experience and a proven ability to manage through the entire product lifecycle.
They are responsible for mentoring and developing the product skills of their direct reports. In addition, they will continue to work with senior leaders to develop and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions, and present product strategy to their stakeholders and leadership. They will set performance goals and measure growth, adoption, and overall performance of our products.

Key Responsibilities
- Leads direct reports, manages, coaches, develops and evaluates individual performance. Provides constructive and timely feedback and mentorship.
- Oversees multiple digital product management initiatives and has overall accountability for product definition.
- Primary focus is strategic visioning for transformative product initiatives that drive growth, create value, and sustain competitive advantage.
- Develops a deep understanding of the market, the customer, and business to collaborate, influence and align business stakeholders & team to product strategy and shared purpose.
- Define frameworks and metrics that enable teams to measure progress towards their goals and connects the dots to EB Objectives.
- Set the product priorities based on quantitative and qualitative learnings and prioritize focus areas to ensure product development teams create successful outcomes for our customers and business.
- Work closely and collaboratively with leaders across other functions (including engineering, marketing, insights/analytics, and design) to realize the full potential of our product development investments.
- Coordinates with other Product team members and Total Experience leaders to ensure the overall user experience is cohesive and consistent.
- Drives the product strategy,
product roadmap and execution for strategic initiatives.
- Ensure business alignment of Product Milestones and PI priorities.
- Defines, track and measure product performance metrics and benefit realization targets.
- Drives go-to-market strategy, communication, adoption and ongoing engagement plans.
- Analyzes and visualizes large amounts of data into actionable insights and is an advocate of metric-driven decision-making process.
- Connects the dots from strategic objectives, customer outcomes, business impact & product performance.
- Several of these responsibilities are executed in close partnership with the product leaders in both VB and LAD businesses.
Skills And Background You’ll Need Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field. Achievement of or progress toward a Certified Product Owner (CPO) is desired. Experience: 15+ years of full product life-cycle product management experience, ideally 2+ years of experience managing and developing product managers and/or product owners.
- Ability to work in Agile Environment; Experience developing solid lean business cases, strategic roadmaps, product requirement / program epics. Proven success leading program level business and technology delivery efforts.
- Must exhibit strong product leadership and mentoring skills, consumer instincts, intuitively understands why product ideas will succeed, understands strategic and competitive position and delivers best in class solutions.
- Experience with hypothesis-driven learning and turning data into actionable insights, exhibits bias-to-action, and avoids analysis paralysis, separates what must be done now, and what can be improved later, willing to take intelligent risks.
- Organizational leadership and influence without relying on hierarchy.
- Strong communication skills including active listening and effective presentation of ideas. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with a wide range of team members and job functions-all the way up to executives.
- Experience in the Insurance industry is desired.
