Job Position Summary The role will be responsible for driving financial planning, financial modelling, profitability analysis and strategic finance initiatives. The position will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to provide actionable financial insights, support business decision-making and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead competition analysis and benchmarking against domestic and international industry peers to identify market trends, business insights and opportunities.
2. Lead and review monthly route-level, market-level, fleet-level, business-level and channel-wise profitability analysis to identify key margin and cost drivers.
3. Ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity of data used in profitability calculations and financial reporting.
4. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decisions related to new route launches, route discontinuations and other strategic business initiatives.
5. Partner closely with Network Planning, Revenue Management, Operations and other key stakeholders to drive business performance and profitability.
6. Develop and oversee dashboards, visualizations and management reports to present key financial metrics and business insights.
7. Drive automation and adoption of advanced analytics tools to improve profitability reporting, financial planning and decision-making processes.
8. Identify opportunities to enhance profitability,
optimize costs and improve financial reporting processes.
9. Develop and streamline SOPs, processes and governance frameworks to improve operational and reporting efficiency.
10. Lead, coach and mentor the Financial Planning team and drive a strong performance-oriented culture.
11. Present financial insights, business performance and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Desired Qualification / Certifications
- CA or MBA Finance from a top-tier B-school
- CFA or B.E./B.Tech from a premier institute may also be considered
Preferred Relevant Work Experience
- Approximately 10 - 15 years of overall experience
- Relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;), Strategic Finance, Business Finance, Financial Modelling or Equity Research
- Experience in the aviation/airline industry would be an advantage.

Functional Skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong Power BI dashboarding and data visualization skills
- Strong understanding of financial accounting and financial modelling
- Experience using Reuters/Bloomberg screens
- Advanced IT skills such as SQL, R or coding would be an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
