Summary

We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

The Desktop Support

Engineer will be tasked with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Roles And Responsibilities

- Installation and Configuration of operating systems on laptops & desktops

- CCTV installation and troubleshooting

- Ticketing tool (Service Request portal) knowledge and functionality

- Configuring desktops and laptops in accordance with standardization policies

- Troubleshooting software and hardware issues

- Installing and configuring various software applications

- IMAC submission for device allocation and deallocation

- Network troubleshooting and support

- Installation and configuration of e-mail clients

- User data recovery as applicable

- Anti-virus software installation and configuration

- Patch management for operating systems





- Hardware troubleshooting and vendor coordination

Requirements

Job Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role

- Proficient in hardware troubleshooting

- Experienced in software installation and network troubleshooting

- Knowledge of operating system troubleshooting

- Familiarity with remote desktop support

- Ability to troubleshoot peripheral device issues

- Experience in Active Directory management is a plus

- Additional skills such as SAP, AutoCAD, CorelDraw, and Adobe Acrobat Writer are advantageous

- Knowledge of print queue troubleshooting and configuration

- Understanding of IP address configuration and VLAN setup

- Ability to work with anti-virus software and system security protocols
