Role Description The Desktop Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers and related hardware for employees, ensuring systems are secure, stable, and optimized for daily use.

The Desktop

Engineer will provide technical support to end users, diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, and perform routine troubleshooting for operating systems and business applications. Daily tasks include managing software installation and updates, monitoring system performance, documenting issues and resolutions, and coordinating with other IT team members for escalations. The role also involves maintaining inventory of desktop assets, assisting with user onboarding and offboarding,



and following company policies and best practices for IT security and data protection.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in desktop computers, including hardware setup, configuration, and maintenance.
- Candidates should possess technical support and troubleshooting skills to assist users and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of operating systems (such as Windows and other commonly used platforms) and basic system administration.
- Candidates should possess experience with software installation, upgrades, and ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
- Relevant skills such as familiarity with basic networking concepts, antivirus and security tools, and peripheral device support are beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.
- A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications) and prior experience in a desktop support or IT helpdesk role are an advantage.
