Role Summary The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing fluid handling equipment, hydraulic and hydropneumatics systems, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). The role involves concept development, detailed engineering, CAD modeling, manufacturing drawings, BOM preparation, and supporting production through the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop fluid handling, hydraulic, and hydropneumatics systems.
- Design Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) based on customer specifications.
- Prepare 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
- Select standard mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Perform engineering calculations related to mechanisms, actuators, fluid flow, pressure, and structural requirements.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and Service teams for successful project execution.
- Support prototype development, assembly, testing, and validation.
- Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable quality and safety standards.
- Resolve technical issues during manufacturing and commissioning.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

* 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in:

- Fluid handling systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Hydropneumatics systems
- Special Purpose Machines (SPMs)




- Strong understanding of machine design fundamentals.
- Experience in preparing fabrication and machining drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly.
- Familiarity with GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering standards.

Technical Skills

- SolidEdge (Preferred) or equivalent 3D CAD software
- AutoCAD
- BOM creation and engineering documentation
- Hydraulic and pneumatic circuit understanding
- Mechanical calculations and component selection
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Microsoft Office
