Role Description The Data Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur. This role involves supporting data center operations by monitoring systems, managing physical and logical data infrastructure, and ensuring consistent uptime and reliability. Day-to-day tasks include handling cabling and hardware connections, assisting with installation and maintenance of equipment, and performing routine checks to identify and resolve issues.

The Data

Technician will document incidents, escalate complex problems as needed, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate operational updates clearly. The role also includes following established procedures,



adhering to safety and security guidelines, and contributing to continuous improvement of data center processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to interpret data center metrics, diagnose issues, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills to identify, isolate, and resolve hardware, cabling, and basic network-related problems.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, document activities, and report incidents clearly.
- Candidates should possess cabling skills, including familiarity with structured cabling, labeling, routing, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Candidates should possess data center operations skills, including experience with equipment monitoring, environmental checks, and following operational procedures.
- Relevant technical certifications or training in IT infrastructure, networking, or data center management are beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Tiruvallur, follow shift schedules, and handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting and moving equipment.
