An internship that is not a desk. You will spend it where the sensors are, cleaning the data you helped collect and watching what happens when a model meets a real herd.
Responsibilities
- Accompany field engineers on deployments and calibration visits, and take the notes nobody else has time to take
- Clean, label and organise sensor telemetry - temperature, rumination, activity and environmental records
- Help build and validate the baseline datasets recent deployments are measured against
- Test model outputs against what the farmer and the veterinarian actually observed
- Write up what did not work, honestly, so the next deployment is better
Requirements
- Studying or recently graduated in data science, statistics, agricultural engineering,
computer science or veterinary science
- Comfortable with Python or R and with messy real-world data
- Willing to travel to rural districts and work in field conditions
- One regional language alongside English
- Loves to see farmers succeed, understands their pain points, and can explain a recommendation in words a farmer uses
