Position: Technical Trainer (Data Engineering Trainer)

Job summary:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Training professional with 10 to 15 years of experience in designing, delivering and executing, end to end Technical Training programmes. Additionally, we are looking for someone who have experience in executing learning programs and trainings for the early careers.

A senior Data Engineering Trainer & Subject Matter Expert with strong experience in enabling production‑grade delivery readiness through structured learning, certification, and hands‑on practice. Operates at the intersection of business demand, platform standards, and engineering rigor, ensuring learning outcomes translate directly into deployability and scalable delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

•Designs and executes enterprise‑wide technical training strategies aligned to evolving business priorities, delivery pipelines, and platform roadmaps within the Data Engineering ecosystem.

•Drives campus & lateral upskilling, reskilling, and cross‑skilling initiatives to build depth, flexibility, and resilience across data engineering teams.

•Ensures learning interventions are outcome‑driven and focused on real‑world, production‑ready delivery, rather than tool familiarity or conceptual learning alone.

•Architects role‑based training programs based on capability assessments, delivery gaps, and forward‑looking skill requirements, supporting engineers’ progression across career stages.

•Acts as a key interlock between business, delivery, and technology teams, translating project requirements into actionable learning, capability, and platform enablement plans.

•Ensures adherence to Data Engineering practice standards, target architectures, and governance frameworks across POD‑level execution.

•Drives and governs Databricks, Fivetran, and Snowflake certification programs,



ensuring certifications materially improve technical depth, deployability, and delivery scalability.

•Aligns certification frameworks with enterprise governance and Data Engineering Practice guidelines to maintain consistency and audit readiness.

•Owns bench readiness and customer academy initiatives, designing role‑specific enablement programs that accelerate deployment and customer‑specific platform readiness.

•Builds high‑success interview readiness through hands‑on labs, real project simulations, and mock interview frameworks aligned to client expectations.

•Designs and delivers blended learning models combining digital content, virtual instructor‑led training, and experiential learning approaches.

•Provides Data Engineering SME inputs for RFPs, solutioning discussions, audits, and technical or capability maturity assessments.

•Supports delivery teams through platform adoption guidance, engineering best practices, and reinforcement of technical rigor.

•Demonstrates strong technical coaching and leadership capabilities, mentoring engineers across geographies and driving consistent capability uplift.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

•Proven ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed workplace

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation and facilitation capabilities

•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced functions, analysis) and PowerPoint (executive-level presentations)

•Educational qualification: MCA, M.Tech, BE, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

•Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience in managing and delivering technical training programs in two or more of the following domains:
