SmasHR Global is looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Data & BI Consultant .This role focuses on ETL development, data modeling, and reporting solutions, with exposure to modern data platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Power BI being a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and improve database performance
- Work on data modeling and cube design using SSAS
- Build and manage reports using SSRS and/or Power BI
- Handle large datasets, data transformation, and performance tuning
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing BI solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reporting efficiency

Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering / BI / MSBI
- Strong hands-on experience in:

- SQL (Advanced level mandatory)
- SSIS (ETL Development – mandatory)




- SSAS / SSRS (at least one mandatory; both preferred)
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing & Data Modeling
- Experience in end-to-end BI/Data projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Power BI (Dashboards, DAX, Visualization)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Highly desirable)
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics
- Basic knowledge of Apache Spark
