Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Practitioner Associate who has hands-on experience working with data in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and is comfortable writing SQL as part of their day-to-day responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to data analysis, reporting, BI tools, and cloud-based data environments. This role is well suited for Junior Data Analysts, Reporting Analysts, BI Analysts, or Data professionals who are looking to strengthen their GCP skills and progress toward a Data Engineer career path.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Work with business and technical teams to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
- Work with data stored and processed within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI/reporting tools.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support data preparation and transformation activities for reporting and analytics.
- Assist in troubleshooting data and reporting issues.
- Understand data sources, data structures, and basic data pipelines.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders on data-related initiatives.
- Document queries, reports, data processes, and business requirements.
- Continuously learn and adopt GCP data services and modern data practices.

Required Skills and Qualification We are looking for candidates who:

- Are currently working as Junior Data Analysts, Data Analysts, BI Analysts, Reporting Analysts, or similar data-focused roles.
- Have already been using SQL as part of their regular day-to-day work.




- Have practical exposure to GCP and cloud-based data environments.
- Have worked with at least one BI/reporting tool.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Are interested in developing toward a Data Engineer / Cloud Data Engineer career path.

Technical Skills

- 6+ months of hands-on experience working with data on GCP.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience using SQL in daily work.
- Hands-on experience with at least one BI / reporting / visualization tool, such as:

- Looker / Looker Studio

- Power BI

- Tableau

Certification Certification: Google Cloud – Data Practitioner

Certification Information: Associate Data Practitioner | Google Cloud

Certification is preferred / can be pursued as part of the role, depending on project requirements.

GCP Exposure

Candidates should have practical exposure to one or more GCP data services, such as:

- Google BigQuery
- Google Cloud Storage
- Cloud SQL
- Dataflow
- Dataproc
- Looker
- Other relevant GCP data services

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Python for basic data analysis or automation.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts.
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
- Exposure to data pipelines or workflow orchestration.
