- Participate in security working groups and discussions for standards like NIST FIPS 140-3, NDcPP, EUCC and NCCS ITSAR both internally and externally
- Design and implement requirements in compliance with said security standards/certifications
- Work on open-source security libraries such as OpenSSL and OpenSSH and custom implementations
- Conduct in-depth gap analysis on routers, switches and firewalls and CPE devices against security standards
- Collaborate and consult as the SME for security standards with various platfrom architects, developers and testers, to implement secure configurations for network equipment.
- Validate security configurations, system hardening practices, and patch management processes to ensure they meet standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including security policies, entropy reports, procedures, audit reports, and technical assessments.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelors/Master's degree in cybersecurity/ computer science or equivalent
- 6-8 years of experience in cybersecurity with proven contributions in FIPS/Common Criteria or equivalent security certifications
- High proficiency in C/C++ with a test-driven mindset
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cryptography and cybersecurity tools.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix development environments
- Understanding of software vulnerabilities and mitigations
- A genuine passion for building effective and pragmatic security
- Excellent problem-solving skills with out-of-the-box critical thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about writing positive quality code and be open-minded to feedback on detailed code reviews
- Cybersecurity-related certification(s), including CCSP, CISSP, CISM, CEH, GPEN is a plus
