About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team as an independent contractor. This remote role offers a unique chance to contribute to advanced AI evaluation projects by applying enterprise-level cybersecurity expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing real-world security scenarios, creating reference solutions, and evaluating AI-generated outputs to enhance next-generation AI systems.

This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in cybersecurity operations, risk management, and security architecture. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive security assessments and ensure the technical rigor of project deliverables. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all security considerations are meticulously addressed throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in cybersecurity, including roles in security engineering, security operations, incident response, risk management, or security leadership.



A solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIS2 is essential.

Experience with security tools like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Qualys, and GRC platforms is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, risk assessment capabilities, and effective technical communication.

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are strongly preferred, as they validate a candidate’s expertise and commitment to the profession. A proven track record of managing security programs, developing security architectures, and conducting comprehensive security assessments will be advantageous for success in this role.

Responsibilities The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for developing enterprise cybersecurity scenarios rooted in real-world security operations, threat detection, and risk management workflows. This includes creating detailed reference incident reports, conducting security assessments, designing security architecture, and preparing compliance documentation. A core aspect of the role involves evaluating AI-generated cybersecurity outputs for accuracy, reasoning, compliance, and technical quality, ensuring that AI systems adhere to established security standards.

The candidate will design grading rubrics that measure professional-level cybersecurity judgment and decision-making, contributing to the refinement of AI evaluation processes. Additional responsibilities include applying cybersecurity methodologies such as threat modeling,



incident response planning, vulnerability management, and risk assessment. The engineer will work closely with project teams to maintain consistency, quality, and technical rigor across all deliverables, ensuring that project objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
