- Operations Management: Oversee daily cleaning, decontamination, packing, and sterilization processes for surgical instruments and equipment.
- Staff Supervision: Manage, schedule, and train CSSD technicians and operators, maintaining high standards of workflow efficiency.
- Quality & Safety Control: Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines, hospital protocols, and infection control standards (such as NABH guidelines).
- Inventory & Records: Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization logs, equipment maintenance, and stock distribution.
- Inter-departmental Coordination: Communicate with operating theaters, ICUs, and nursing units to supply required sterile trays on time
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma in Operation Theatre technology, CSSD/Sterilization Technology, or a relevant healthcare certification.
- Experience: Typically 5 to 10 years of prior experience working in a hospital CSSD environment, including supervisory or leadership roles.
- Core Skills: Robust knowledge of high and low-temperature sterilization methods, excellent organizational capabilities, and familiarity with hospital safety compliance.
