Creative StrategistOpening Act Media | Full-Time | Hybrid Preferred Location: Bengaluru

About Opening Act Media Opening Act Media is a full-stack marketing agency working across strategy, brand, creative, content, production, and performance marketing.

We work with businesses to understand their story, identify what makes them matter, and build marketing systems that create consistent, meaningful growth. Through our Self-Made program, we also work closely with companies to build and train their internal marketing teams.

We're looking for a Creative Strategist who can think strategically, visualise ideas clearly, plan effectively, and work closely with multiple teams to turn ideas into strong creative output.

The Role This role sits between strategy, creativity, visualisation, planning, and execution.

You'll be expected to take a business objective or communication challenge, understand the audience and context around it, and turn it into a clear creative direction. From developing the initial idea to planning how it gets executed, you'll work closely with designers, writers, editors, filmmakers, marketers, and clients.

We're looking for someone who is highly creative but equally organised, someone who can come up with a outstanding idea and also figure out how to make it happen.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop creative strategies and campaign concepts based on business objectives, audience insights, and brand positioning.
- Conceptualise campaigns, content ideas, brand narratives, social media campaigns, films, and digital communication.
- Strongly visualise ideas and communicate how a concept should look, feel, and come together.
- Create clear creative briefs, moodboards, references, storyboards, and presentations when required.
- Work closely with designers, writers, editors, filmmakers, and marketing teams to take ideas from concept to execution.
- Plan creative projects from start to finish, including timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and team requirements.

- Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality and timelines.
- Conduct audience, competitor, cultural, and trend research to identify creative opportunities.
- Translate research and insights into practical creative directions.
- Present ideas clearly to clients and internal teams and explain the thinking behind them.
- Review creative output and provide explicit, constructive feedback.
- Track project progress and maintain organised documentation, trackers, briefs, and deliverables.
- Work with performance and marketing teams to understand what is working and use those insights to improve creative.
- Explore AI tools and emerging technologies to improve research, ideation, visualisation, planning, and creative workflows.

What We're Looking For

- 2–5 years of experience in creative strategy, advertising, branding, content, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong creative thinking and an excellent eye for visualisation and storytelling.
- Ability to take an abstract idea and clearly visualise how it can become a campaign, film, piece of content, or creative asset.
- Strong understanding of brand communication and digital marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong planning and project-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects without losing track of details.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, trackers, presentations, and documentation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, Google Workspace, Notion, project-management tools, or similar organisational software.

- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate ideas convincingly.
- Ability to work collaboratively with creative and marketing teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.
- Good understanding of social media, digital content, advertising, and current creative trends.
- Familiarity with AI tools and AI-assisted creative workflows is an advantage.

Portfolio Is Mandatory A strong portfolio is one of the most important requirements for this role.

We want to see how you think, conceptualise, visualise, and solve problems creatively, not just a collection of finished work.

Your portfolio should ideally demonstrate:

- Campaign concepts
- Creative strategy
- Brand thinking
- Visual storytelling
- Concept development
- Content ideas
- Creative briefs or case studies
- Campaign execution
- Your individual contribution to the work

Where possible, show the problem → insight → idea → execution → outcome.

Applications without a strong and relevant portfolio may not be considered.

The Right Person For This Role You'd be a great fit if you're someone who can sit in a room, understand a business problem, come up with an interesting idea, visualise exactly how it should look, and then build a practical plan to make it happen.

You should be equally comfortable discussing a campaign concept, putting together a presentation, building an Excel tracker, planning deliverables, and working with the team to get the final output across the line.
