Role Description The Consultant Urologist / Urology Technician will provide comprehensive urology services, including outpatient consultations, inpatient care, and participation in surgical procedures such as endourology, laparoscopy, and other urologic interventions. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and managing urological conditions, ordering and interpreting relevant investigations, counseling patients and families, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role involves close collaboration with other medical and nursing staff, supporting emergency urology cases, and contributing to clinical protocols and quality standards.

The selected candidate is expected to participate in case discussions, clinical audits, and training or mentoring of junior staff where applicable. This is a full-time,



in office role based at Bengal FAITH Hospital in Purba Bardhaman.

Qualifications

- Clinical expertise in urology, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of common and complex urological conditions.
- Proficiency in urological procedures (e.g., cystoscopy, TURP, stone management, catheterization, and related surgical or technical support activities).
- Strong patient care skills, including clear communication, empathetic counseling, and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with physicians, nurses, and technicians, and contribute to organized clinical workflows.
- Competence in maintaining clinical documentation, adhering to hospital protocols, and following safety and infection control standards.
- For Consultant Urologist: Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with specialization in Urology (MS/ DNB or equivalent) and valid registration with the relevant medical council.
- For Urology Technician: Relevant diploma or certification in urology or operation theater technology, with hands-on experience in urology procedures preferred.
- Ability to work full time in an on-site hospital environment in Purba Bardhaman, with flexibility for emergencies and extended hours as needed.
- Prior experience in a hospital or specialized urology center is an advantage; familiarity with modern urology equipment and technology is beneficial.
