Role Description The Computer Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging computer education classes to primary and secondary students in an on-site, full-time role based in Korba. Daily responsibilities include planning and teaching lessons in computer fundamentals, basic hardware and software use, programming concepts, and responsible internet usage. The role involves developing and updating curriculum and lesson plans, preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback.

The Computer

Teacher will also guide students in practical lab sessions, support project-based learning, and collaborate with other teachers and school leadership to integrate technology into broader classroom activities.



Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment and participating in school meetings and events are integral parts of this role.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including basic hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Ability to teach Programming concepts and straightforward coding practices appropriate to school-level students.
- Effective Communication skills for explaining technical concepts clearly and engaging diverse learners.
- Experience or training in Curriculum Development and lesson planning for computer education.
- Demonstrated Teaching skills, including classroom management and student assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Prior experience teaching computer subjects in a school setting is preferred.
- Comfort with educational technology tools and basic troubleshooting of classroom computers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain an inclusive, non-discriminatory classroom environment.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a learner-focused mindset.
