Desired profile: As a Computer Vision Intern with AGC’s Data Science team at the Technology Research Park (TRP), IIT Hyderabad, you’ll tackle a real-world 3D perception problem —detecting transparent and reflective glass objects in 3D —gaining hands-on experience alongside AGC’s researchers.
Responsibilities
- Build and curate 3D perception datasets (RGB, depth, point-cloud), including annotation for transparent-object scenes.
- Develop and fine-tune CV / deep-learning models for detection, segmentation and 3D localization of glass.
- Design experiments and evaluate models (precision/recall, IoU, localization error); cut false positives on reflective surfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and R&D; teams to refine and validate solutions.
Skills & Qualifications (Required):
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s / Master’s in CS,
DS, ECE, Mechanical, Civil or related.
- Python proficiency with hands-on ML, Deep Learning & Computer Vision.
- Strong communication skills.
- Prior internship or relevant technical project experience.
Skills & Qualifications (Preferred):
- 3D data / point clouds (Open3D, PCL) or depth sensing (LiDAR, stereo, structured light).
- Object detection or semantic / instance segmentation architectures.
- Interest in manufacturing, materials science or industrial AI.
