Job Location: Mumbai/Hyderabad

Position Summary:

The candidate will lead a team of external vendors and consultants responsible for the commissioning of Data Center projects. The commissioning of the Data Center Projects include varies delivery model to include Day 1, Day 2 and Retrofits for equipment that support a 24 x 7 operations and high levels of security and reliability/redundancy (stand-by generators, battery UPS systems, diesel rotary UPS, electrical switchboard, CRAC/CRAH, chilled-water system, motor control center, control panel, fire protection system, building automation/management systems etc.).



The candidate is ultimately responsible for working with other stakeholders – Project Managers, technical experts, etc. – to ensure the project’s delivery of the Construction Quality Assurance and the Commissioning Process for each project.

This includes but is not limited to the scheduling and reporting of commissioning activities, issue management and official sign-off from partner teams. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each project meets the Client’s Commissioning Guidelines and standards which may be adjusted from time-to-time based on best practices and Lesson Learned drawn from previous projects. In addition, the candidate will be responsible to manage the Projects commissioning document storage system and automated commissioning management system; ensuring that all the Construction, QA/QC and Commissioning team members are properly using the system and that all the documentation is correct and the acceptance of the resolution from the various team members.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Candidate will report to the Regional Commissioning Manager Lead. The primary responsibility for the candidate would be to oversee and manage commissioning program in various data center construction projects. Candidate would be responsible for the managing the Commissioning process from site selection process for vendor onboarding, organizing commissioning workshops, technical due diligence design review, developing commissioning strategy and plan, attending factory & site acceptance testing, technical issues resolution, commissioning close out and turn over process.





The Candidate will create and /or maintain best safety, quality, testing and commissioning practices and update the Cx Process to develop a protected, quality, and cost-effective solutions. The candidate is responsible for the development of Commissioning Procedures and standards and making regular construction site inspections to review safety, construction, QA/QC, and commissioning process.

The Candidate shall have effective communication skills and reports regularly on construction Progress, QA/QC, Commissioning progress, Issues, and KPI metrics to management. The candidate shall manage Cx meetings and Cx activities of vendor project managers including integration of lessons learned. The Candidate is accountable for developing, managing, and reporting on safety, scope, schedule, and budget of the Commissioning Process.

Basic Qualifications:

- Must have working rights in base location
- Experienced Commissioning Agent and/or design engineer background
- Project management skills
- Knowledge to develop, write and approve Commissioning plan and Test Scripts
- Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Electrical and mechanical test equipment
- Computer/IT knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project tool, Conference call and Internet skills

Experience Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent industry experience.
- 6+ years’ experience in Data Center Commissioning and Facility Maintenance and/or Operations.

Travel required:

- The candidate may be required to travel within APAC/EMEA region to conduct business meetings and/or technical inspections at the factory and construction site, as necessary.
