Job Summary The Functional Commerce Architect acts as the strategic bridge between businessobjectivesand technology execution for digital commerce initiatives. This roleis responsible fordesigning, advising, and delivering scalable, innovative, and integrated commerce solutionsprimarily in B2B, B2Cand omnichannel environments. Thearchitectworksat the intersection of business strategy, digital experience, data, and technology, translating commercialobjectivesinto actionable operating models, roadmaps, and solution designs.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Advise clients on commerce strategy and transformation, covering B2B and B2C use cases ensuring alignment with business goals and digital transformationobjectives.
- Design future-state commerce operating modelsdesign of functional architectures for digital commerce platforms, integratingbest-of-breed components (e.g., CMS, PIM, OMS, payment systems).
- Conduct workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders to capture requirements,validatesolution designs, and present strategic recommendations.
- Translate business requirements intocapability maps, roadmaps, and solution blueprints
- Analyze and map client business processes, customer journeys, and technical landscapes toidentifyopportunities for optimization and innovation.
- Ensure solutions arefeasible, scalable, andintegrateseamlessly with existing client systems (ERP, CRM, legacy platforms, etc.).
- Serve as a trusted advisor,



building long-term clientrelationshipsand acting as the clients advocate within the organization.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital commerce, and distill insights for clients and internal teams.
- Lead the adoption of composable and headless commerce approaches to enable flexibility, scalability, and rapid innovation.
- Contribute tobusiness development, POVs, proposals, and client workshops
- Stay up to date oncommerce trends, platforms, and emerging topics (e.g.AI-enabled and agentic commerce)

Qualification

Qualified and Technical Skills

- 12+ years of experience in digital commerce
- Deep understanding of commerce domain knowledge, including omnichannel, composable commerce, and MACH principles.
- Proven experienceadvising clients and leading workshops todefine requirements and solution strategies.
- Strong understanding of AI,especiallyapplying agentic AI to digital commerce
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology teams.
- Experience with commerce platforms and integration with enterprise systems.
- Experience with commerce-related capabilities such as Product information management (PIM), Pricing, promotions, CPQ, Checkout, order management, fulfillment, Content, personalization, and experience orchestration
- Ability to translatebusiness strategy into technology-enabled solutions
- Structured thinking and strong storytelling skills for C-level and senior stakeholders
- Experience working in cross-functional, international project teams
- Comfortoperatingin ambiguity and shaping topics from early concept to execution
