Hiring: Software Engineer III | Cognos & Databricks Modernization

Are you passionate about modernizing enterprise reporting and analytics platforms?

We're looking for a Software Engineer III with a strong blend of IBM Cognos and Databricks expertise to help drive the transformation of legacy reporting solutions into scalable, cloud-based analytics platforms.

What You'll Do

✅ Support and enhance existing IBM Cognos reports, dashboards, and Framework Manager models

✅ Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and Databricks

✅ Build up-to-date Databricks SQL dashboards and self-service analytics solutions

✅ Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into actionable insights

✅ Lead modernization efforts by migrating legacy Cognos reporting assets to Databricks Lakehouse architecture

✅ Optimize SQL queries, data models, and reporting performance

Must-Have Skills

✔ 5+ years of Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Analytics experience

✔ 3+ years of IBM Cognos Analytics & Framework Manager

✔ Strong SQL development and query optimization skills





✔ Hands-on experience with Databricks, Databricks SQL, Python, and PySpark

✔ Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT processes

✔ GitHub/version control experience

Nice to Have

⭐ AWS/Azure

⭐ Airflow

⭐ Reporting modernization and migration experience

This isn't a pure Cognos Developer role or a pure Data Engineer role.
