About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at Infosys Finacle. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in cloud administration across multiple cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role involves designing, building, automating, and maintaining scalable multi-cloud infrastructures to support our enterprise solutions.
As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will work closely with application developers, platform engineers, and security teams to create resilient, secure, and efficient cloud environments.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automating cloud provisioning processes, managing container orchestration platforms, and troubleshooting complex cloud, Kubernetes, and OS-level issues. Your expertise will directly contribute to the seamless deployment and operation of cloud-based applications and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across diverse cloud environments.
Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering, with at least 4+ years of hands-on experience working with one or more major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI.
A strong understanding of core cloud services including compute, storage, networking, and databases is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud resources, along with expertise in automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Solid
Linux/Unix system administration skills and experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes are required. Additionally, familiarity with scripting languages like Bash/Shell and Python, along with a good grasp of cloud networking concepts, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines, is necessary. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
Optional certifications or experience with programming languages such as Java or JavaScript, especially in multi-cloud or hybrid environments, will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Create and enhance automation scripts utilizing Bash/Shell and Python to streamline deployment processes and operational tasks.
- Architect and implement cloud landing zones and infrastructure frameworks across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
- Provision, configure, and manage cloud services including compute instances, virtual networks (VPC/VNet), storage solutions, and databases to support enterprise applications.
- Deploy, operate, and maintain Kubernetes clusters using managed services such as EKS,
GKE, AKS, and OKE, ensuring high availability and security.
- Support, optimize, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows to enable continuous integration and delivery of applications.
- Perform Linux/Unix system administration tasks, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, networking, and Kubernetes-related issues to minimize downtime and improve system resilience.
- Collaborate with application, security, and platform engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant, and reliable cloud solutions aligned with organizational standards and best practices.
