A Civil Quality Engineer (EPC CBG Project) is responsible for ensuring that all civil construction work in a Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant is executed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Certification in QA/QC or NDT is an added advantage.

Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in civil QA/QC for EPC projects.
- Experience in CBG, biogas, oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, power, or industrial plant projects is preferred.
Employment: Contract basis (project based)
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures for civil construction.
- Familiarity with EPC project execution.
- Knowledge of IS Codes, ASTM, ACI, and relevant construction standards.
- Experience with concrete technology and soil testing.
- Ability to interpret structural and civil drawings.
- Valuable documentation and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and AutoCAD (preferred).
Role Summary: The Civil Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures for all civil construction activities during the EPC execution of a CBG project. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and client quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
- Conduct inspections of civil works, including:
- Excavation and backfilling
- PCC and RCC works
- Reinforcement inspection
- Formwork inspection
- Concrete pouring and finishing
- Structural steel foundations
- Roads, drains, and paving works
- Verify materials received at site and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Review and approve Material Inspection Reports (MIRs) and Work Inspection Requests (WIRs).
- Ensure all laboratory and field tests are conducted as per relevant IS codes or project specifications.
- Monitor concrete quality, including slump tests, cube casting, curing, and compressive strength testing.
- Maintain quality documentation, including:
- Inspection reports
- Test reports
- Checklists
- Material approvals
- Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, third-party inspection agencies, and construction teams during inspections.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
- Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in internal quality audits and client quality audits.
- Prepare quality dossiers and handover documentation at project completion.
- Support commissioning by ensuring civil punch points are closed.
