Role Description The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will lead the overall information security strategy and implementation for Esse India, ensuring the protection of client data, internal systems, and digital assets. This full-time, on-site role is based in Abroad and involves developing, maintaining, and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization. The CISO will oversee security risk assessments, manage cybersecurity initiatives, and coordinate incident response and recovery efforts.

Responsibilities include guiding application security practices, aligning information security programs with business continuity plans, and collaborating with leadership to meet regulatory and compliance requirements. The role also involves mentoring security and IT teams, evaluating security technologies, and communicating security posture and risks to senior management.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Information Security and Information Security Management, with experience designing and governing organizational security frameworks.
- Hands-on expertise in Cybersecurity, including threat detection, incident response,



and security monitoring across networks and systems.
- Proficiency in Application Security, including secure software development practices, code review, and vulnerability management for web and enterprise applications.
- Experience in Business Continuity planning, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies that align with security and operational objectives.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, data protection and privacy regulations) and risk management methodologies.
- Proven leadership experience in a senior security role, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly beneficial.
- Robust analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement in security posture.
