Job Summary

We are seeking a Chemist to join our team in the Plating team, Bangalore.

Main Responsibilities

- Perform daily chemical analysis and monitoring of plating baths (Gold, Nickel, Copper, Silver, and Tin).
- Conduct routine testing on plated parts, including NSS (Neutral Salt Spray), Environmental Testing, and Porosity assessments.
- Assist senior chemists in troubleshooting chemistry-related plating defects and identifying root causes.
- Support the process of recovering precious metals from spent plating solutions.
- Gain hands-on exposure and assist in the operation and routine standardization of lab instruments such as AAS, XRF, UV-Vis, HPLC, and Auto-Titrator.
- Ensure all assigned analytical instruments are calibrated, clean, and ready for daily use.
- Ensure precise, up-to-date documentation of all daily plating bath analyses.
- Assist in tracking hazardous chemical inventory and preparing daily/weekly consumption logs.
- Assist in the physical counting and data entry for precious metal inventory and monthly reconciliation.
- Update operational data and inventory records in SAP as directed.
- Strictly adhere to company guidelines for handling and storage of hazardous chemicals.
- Maintain data compliance in alignment with IATF 16949 / Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.
- Actively practice and maintain strict 5S and workplace safety standards within the laboratory.

Education

- B.Sc Chemistry.
- 2-3 Yrs of Experience.
