Key Responsibility Areas:
What the role owns
1. Working capital and cash Thirteen-week rolling cash forecast; a collections engine for government receivables; the DSO reduction programmed; retention money release; mobilization advance planning; creditor and OEM payment cycle management; and ensuring the company never misses payroll, statutory dues or a critical vendor payment.
Candidate should have worked in a professional workplace where exposure is limited to the Company without collaterals, guarantees of Directors / Promoters.
1. Funding the scale-up Enhancement of fund-based and non-fund-based limits to match the 450 crore order book; bill discounting, channel finance and vendor finance structures; new banking relationships; term debt or shareholder funding as the plan requires; covenant compliance; and finance cost optimization.
1. Business plan, AOP and margin A bottom-up Annual Operating Plan running order inflow to revenue with lag, gross margin by vertical, cost structure, PBT and cash; the rolling twelve-month forecast; vertical-wise and project-wise profit and loss; monthly margin-at-completion re-estimation; pricing and margin governance as the mix shifts to SI; and a financial bid or no-bid gate on every material tender.
1. Project, EPC and contract finance Commercial review of tenders, contracts, consortium agreements, subcontracts and OEM terms before signature; the full lifecycle of EMD, mobilization advance, performance and advance bank guarantees and letters of credit,
including the renewal calendar; milestone billing discipline; back-to-back terms with subcontractors; change order and variation monetization; and retention and closeout recovery.
1. Accounts and controllership Books under the Companies Act 2013 and applicable Ind AS; the monthly close calendar; revenue recognition for multi-element contracts covering license, implementation, hardware supply, EPC and installation and O&M; or AMC, including percentage-of-completion, unbilled revenue and provisioning for liquidated damages and warranty; statutory, internal, tax and cost audits; the fixed asset register and site inventory control; and the capitalization policy for platform and product development.
1. Compliance, tax and secretarial GST across multi-state registrations including works-contract and composite-supply treatment; TDS and TCS; income tax, advance tax and assessments; transfer pricing and related-party documentation; FEMA and export realization on international work; the PF, ESI, PT and LWF interface with Human Resources; DPDP Act 2023 obligations on finance-held data; and supervision of the Company Secretary on Companies Act compliance, ROC filings, Board and general meeting process and statutory registers.
1. Board and shareholder reporting Monthly MIS and Board papers; Audit Committee support; reporting packs to shareholders on their formats and calendars; and support for consolidation.
1. Controls, risk, systems and team Internal Financial Controls and the Delegation of Authority; the enterprise risk register; ERP and finance automation; and building a finance function with no single-point dependency.
