Our client is an Australian company, a leader in their industry, seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chartered Accountant to join their team remotely from India.

THE ROLE:

The ideal candidate will manage accounting and financial reporting for clients across diverse industries, performing financial statement preparation, tax compliance, BAS and IAS reporting, and business advisory. The role also includes supporting accounting operations, collaborating with the Australian accounts team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
- Ensure financial reports comply with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insights into profitability, costs, and financial health.
- Prepare year-end accounts and workpapers to support financial reporting.
- Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts.
- Manage Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST, FBT, and payroll tax obligations.




- Provide strategic tax planning advice to minimise liabilities while ensuring compliance.
- Interpret and apply Australian taxation legislation and ATO rulings.
- Assist clients with ATO correspondence, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Provide financial and strategic advice to business owners to improve performance.
- Assist clients with cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Analyse financial data to identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
- Support clients with business structuring, restructuring, and succession planning.
- Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure timely delivery of accounting and taxation services.
- Communicate financial information clearly to clients who may not have financial backgrounds.
- Ensure client entities remain compliant with ASIC, ATO, and other regulatory bodies.
- Assist with company secretarial duties including company registrations, changes to company structures, and ASIC reporting.
- Review work prepared by junior and intermediate accountants.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior team members.
- Assist with workflow management and ensure deadlines are met during peak periods.
- Contribute to improving internal systems, processes, and efficiency within the firm.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Previous experience in an Australian accounting firm is required.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience.




- Proficiency in Xero and advanced financial software is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous in financial analysis and reporting.
- Expertise in managing cross-border financial transactions in a virtual framework.

Desirable Knowledge in the Following Software:

- MYOB and Reckon.
- Green Xero (XPM) for time recording.
- FYI - Document Management System.
