? We’re Hiring | Certified Laboratory Technicians – Histochemistry Laboratory ?

The Sudha Gopalakrishnan Brain Centre, IIT Madras, Chennai, India , is seeking motivated and skilled professionals to join our Histochemistry Laboratory team. We are currently hiring for Senior and Junior Laboratory Technician positions.

? Position: Certified Laboratory Technician – Histochemistry Laboratory

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about laboratory science and eager to contribute to cutting-edge neuroscience research. Candidates with prior experience in a histopathology laboratory will be highly preferred. Selected candidates will undergo comprehensive laboratory training during the first three months .

Key Responsibilities

✅ Operate and maintain histochemistry laboratory equipment, including Cryostat, Autostainer, and Coverslipper

✅ Perform cryosectioning and prepare laboratory solutions and reagents

✅ Set up and maintain laboratory processes for experimental workflows

✅ Follow laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

✅ Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team

✅ Maintain laboratory hygiene and adhere to biosafety protocols

✔ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

✔ Effective time-management and organizational skills

✔ Ability to work independently and collaboratively

✔ Flexibility to thrive in a quick-paced research environment

Qualification Requirements

Mandatory:

• B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology OR

- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
