Role Description The Career Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Cannanore, responsible for guiding learners in planning and progressing their careers in finance and commerce. This role involves conducting one-on-one career counseling sessions, facilitating group workshops, and helping learners understand various professional pathways such as ACCA, CMA USA, and CA.
The Career
Specialist will analyze learner profiles, interpret assessment results, and recommend suitable programs or development plans aligned with individual goals and industry trends.
Daily tasks include responding to learner queries, providing ongoing support, collaborating with faculty and placement teams, and maintaining accurate records of counseling interactions. The role also includes organizing career events, building relationships with industry partners, and contributing to initiatives that enhance learner employability and placement outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong career counseling and career development skills, with the ability to guide learners across different finance and commerce pathways.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to engage effectively with learners, families, and internal stakeholders.
- Solid analytical skills to interpret learner data, assessments, and market trends for informed career guidance.
- Prior experience in education, training, placement, or counseling roles, preferably within commerce, finance, or professional qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Psychology, Education, Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in counseling or career development are an advantage.
- Knowledge of professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CMA USA, CA) and current industry requirements in finance and commerce.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced academic environment, manage multiple learner cases, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
