Role & responsibilities:

. • Review GST notices and identify issues, discrepancies, and potential tax implications.

- Draft replies, submissions, clarification letters, and other correspondence to GST departments and authorities.
- Represent and coordinate with GST authorities, officers, and departments for notices, assessments, hearings, and other proceedings.
- Prepare and file GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable GST returns

. • Perform GST reconciliation between books of accounts, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B and other relevant records.
- Prepare and review GST reconciliation statements and identify mismatches in ITC, outward supplies, tax liability, etc.

- Review books of accounts to ensure proper accounting and GST compliance.
- Assist in GST audits, departmental audits, assessments, investigations, and litigation proceedings.

• Analyse Input Tax Credit (ITC) eligibility and reconcile ITC with GST portal records.
- Identify GST compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.



• Maintain proper documentation and records relating to GST notices, replies, hearings, assessments, and litigation.
- Coordinate with internal finance and accounts teams to resolve GST-related discrepancies.
- Keep track of GST law, rules, notifications, circulars, and amendments affecting the organisation

. • Assist senior management / Chartered Accountants in handling complex GST matters and litigation.

Preferred candidate profile The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to GST litigation and departmental matters, rather than only routine GST return filing. The candidate should be confident in analyzing notices, preparing technically sound replies, reconciling GST data with books, and representing matters before GST authorities.Candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing industry will be preferred.
