Protect and expand margins by actively owning large cost pools and converting cost data into executable savings initiatives.

A. Day-to-Day Ownership
● Own cost tracking of all cost line items
● Build monthly cost bridges vs plan and prior periods
● Identify structural vs temporary cost overruns
● Partner with Ops, SCM, Procurement to:
○ Evaluate vendor contracts
○ Redesign cost-heavy processes
● Track benefits realization of approved cost initiatives
B. Key Analyses & Outputs
● Cost variance dashboards (bucket-wise, BU-wise)
● Margin bridge (Revenue → CM1 → EBITDA)
● Savings tracker (planned vs realised)
● Unit cost metrics (cost per order, per delivery, per sqft)
● Sensitivity analysis (impact of volume change on margins)
C. Stakeholder Interactions
● Operations & Supply Chain heads
● Procurement & vendor managers
● Business Heads (margin trade-offs)
● FP&A; / CFO office
D. Success Looks Like
● Cost overruns identified early, not post-quarter
● Savings are tracked, realised, and sustained
● Margin discussions move from “why missed” to “how improved”
● Cost discipline embedded in business reviews
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
● CA / MBA / Cost Accountant / CWA/CFA/ B.Tech from T-1 colleges / CA - Intern with 6–9 years of experience in Cost Finance, Operations Finance, or Business Finance roles
● Strong knowledge of cost structures, margin analysis, and operating leverage, particularly across G&A;, warehousing, and logistics cost pools
● Experience partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Vendor Management teams to drive cost efficiency
● Sound understanding of management accounting, cost allocation, variance analysis, and margin bridges
● High analytical skills with solid attention to detail and the ability to identify structural vs one-time cost issues
● Ability to convert financial analysis into practical, executable cost actions
● Well-organised, resilient, and able to manage multiple workstreams under pressure and short deadlines
● Comfortable working in environments with limited automation and high manual data dependency.
