: Head Business Development (DFS Unit)

Role Overview

Comviva is seeking a seasoned Head Business Development Digital Financial Services (DFS) to drive global growth across its mobiquity portfolio, including digital payments, mobile money, banking, and fintech solutions.

This role requires a senior leader with deep expertise in payments, mobile financial services, and telecom-led fintech ecosystems, capable of driving large-scale enterprise deals, building strategic partnerships, and expanding Comvivas footprint across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth & Revenue Leadership

- Own and drive DFS business development strategy and revenue growth across key markets (APAC, Africa, Middle East, LATAM)
- Build and manage a strong pipeline across:
- Mobile money and wallets
- Digital banking & financial inclusion
- Merchant payments & acceptance ecosystems
- Cross-border payments and remittances
- Deliver on strategic revenue targets and market expansion goals

2. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Building

- Build and scale partnerships with:
- Telecom operators (MNOs)
- Banks and financial institutions
- Fintechs and payment processors
- Regulators and ecosystem partners
- Enable ecosystem-led growth models integrating wallets, payments, merchants, and financial services
- Identify and onboard alternative payment method providers and global partners

1. Enterprise Sales & Solution Selling

- Lead complex enterprise sales cycles with telecom and banking clients
- Engage CXOs and senior stakeholders to:
- Understand business challenges
- Position Comvivas DFS solutions effectively
- Drive consultative selling of:
- Mobile money platforms
- Digital wallets
- Payment orchestration solutions
- Subscription billing and commerce platforms

4. Market Expansion & Industry Leadership





- Identify new growth opportunities across financial inclusion, digital payments, and fintech innovation
- Track and leverage trends such as:
- AI in payments
- Embedded finance
- Digital wallets & super apps
- Cross-border payments
- Act as a thought leader and evangelist for Comviva’s DFS offerings in global forums and client engagements

5. Product & Solution Alignment

- Collaborate with product, engineering, and solution teams to:
- Align offerings with market needs
- Shape product roadmap based on customer insights
- Support solution architecture discussions, RFPs, and large deal pursuits

6. Stakeholder Management & Leadership

- Work closely with:
- Regional sales teams
- Pre-sales and solutioning teams
- Product and delivery organizations
- Mentor and guide teams for high-performance business development execution

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Experience:
- 20–25 years in telecom, fintech, digital payments, or mobile financial services
- Strong track record in business development and enterprise sales in DFS domain
- Proven experience working with:
- Tier-1 telecom operators
- Banks and financial institutions
- Payment ecosystems and fintech players
- Demonstrated success in driving large-scale global deals and partnerships
