WE ARE HIRING | EXECUTIVE / MANAGER – BILLET & SCRAP LOGISTICS

Ananjay Ferro Met Traders LLP is looking for an experienced and result-oriented professional to join our operations team as Executive / Manager – Billet & Scrap Logistics.

? Location: Visakhapatnam / Chhattisgarh / Odisha (Field Role)

? Experience: 5–15 years in Steel / Scrap / Billet Logistics, Loading Operations or Trading Supply Chain

? Qualification: Graduate in any discipline — B.Com / BBA / BE preferred

? Industry: Steel Trading / Scrap / Billet / Commodity Logistics / Transport

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- End-to-end coordination of billet and scrap procurement logistics — from loading point to delivery destination.
- Liaise with mills, stockyards, vendors and loading points across Chhattisgarh and Odisha for material readiness, vehicle placement and loading schedules.
- Manage road transport operations — vehicle sourcing, freight negotiation, placement, loading supervision and in-transit tracking.
- Coordinate with transporters, fleet operators and brokers for timely and cost-effective movement of material.
- Ensure accurate documentation — weight slips, gate passes, e-way bills, lorry receipts, delivery challans and invoices.
- Monitor daily despatch targets, stock positions, loading operations and transportation performance across multiple loading points.
- Handle material shortages, transit losses, weight discrepancies and claims with transporters and suppliers.




- Coordinate with accounts and commercial teams for freight billing, payment reconciliation and vendor settlements.
- Maintain daily MIS, despatch registers, freight trackers and management reports.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with steel mills, scrap yards, transporters, weigh bridge operators and government authorities in the CG and Odisha belt.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements — GST e-way bill, transport documentation and RTO regulations.

IDEAL CANDIDATE We are looking for someone who has:

✅ Strong hands-on experience in billet and / or scrap logistics and dispatch operations

✅ Deep knowledge of loading points, mills and scrap yards in Chhattisgarh and Odisha

✅ Established relationships with transporters and fleet operators in the CG / Odisha belt

✅ Experience in managing high-volume material movement — road transport preferred

✅ Strong understanding of weight reconciliation, shortage claims and freight negotiations

✅ Experience in manpower, contractor and transporter management at loading points

✅ Strong communication and negotiation skills — Hindi speaking mandatory

✅ Ability to independently manage field operations with minimal supervision

✅ Result-oriented with strong ownership and execution capability

Experience of handling 5,000 MT+ per month billet / scrap movement will be highly preferred.
