- Lead engineering of 1 MW–5 MW+ containerized BESS systems .
- Develop complete BESS architecture from cell to grid connection.
- Design battery module, rack and container configuration.
- Calculate required number of cells, modules and racks for different MWh capacities.
- Develop electrical single-line diagrams and system architecture.

- Lead battery protection and electrical safety design.
- Develop BOM for complete BESS containers.
- Evaluate and technically qualify suppliers from India, China, Taiwan and other regions.
- Review supplier drawings, specifications and datasheets.
- Support procurement negotiation and vendor finalization.
- Develop SOPs for:
- Cell inspection
- Module assembly
- Rack assembly
- BMS installation
- HV cabling
- Container integration
- Testing and commissioning
- Establish BESS assembly and testing processes at the Chennai facility.
- Develop Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures.
- Lead commissioning of BESS projects at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot battery, PCS, BMS, EMS and thermal-management issues.
- Lead root-cause analysis for system failures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IEC, UL, NFPA, BIS and Indian electrical standards.
- Coordinate certification and testing requirements.
- Develop safety procedures for high-voltage battery systems.
- Build and manage the BESS engineering team.
- Train assembly technicians and commissioning engineers.
- Support customer technical discussions, tender submissions and EPC partners.
- Support development of customized BESS solutions for solar, industrial, microgrid, data-center and grid applications.
Preferred Experience Experience: 8–15+ years overall engineering experience, with at least 3–5 years directly in BESS / lithium-ion battery / ESS integration .
Candidates with direct experience commissioning or designing MW/MWh-scale containerized BESS will be strongly preferred.
