Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) knowledge and hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. The candidate should be capable of acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, Product Owners, UX teams, AEM developers, architects, QA, and delivery teams. Strong understanding of AEM content management, authoring workflows, components, templates, integrations, and digital experience processes is essential.
This is not a generic BA role. The candidate must be able to understand AEM functionality and translate business requirements into clear, actionable requirements for AEM delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Requirements
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for AEM-based digital platforms.
- Conduct stakeholder discussions, requirement workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and process flows.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, assumptions, and impacts across business and technical teams.
- Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize requirements.
2. AEM Functional Expertise
- Demonstrate strong functional knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Understand AEM authoring concepts including Components, Templates, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, Assets/DAM, workflows, publishing, MSM/localization, and permissions.
- Understand how business requirements translate into AEM components, templates, workflows, and content structures.
- Collaborate with AEM developers and architects to validate feasibility and solution approaches.
- Understand AEM integrations with external systems, APIs, analytics, search,
CRM, and other enterprise platforms.
- Participate in functional validation of AEM solutions and support UAT.
3. Agile / Scrum
- Work effectively within Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Create well-defined user stories with clear and testable acceptance criteria.
- Maintain and prioritize the product/project backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner.
- Break down epics/features into actionable user stories.
- Ensure stories meet the team's Definition of Ready and acceptance criteria are testable.
- Work closely with QA to ensure requirements are properly covered in test scenarios.
4. Stakeholder & Delivery Management
- Act as the primary functional bridge between business and technical teams.
- Communicate complex AEM concepts and requirements clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate with UX/UI, development, QA, architecture, content, and release teams.
- Track requirement dependencies, risks, issues, and scope changes.
- Support release planning and production rollout activities.
Required Technical / Functional Skills
- 6+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- Strong hands-on AEM functional knowledge.
- Experience working on AEM implementation and enhancement projects.
- Strong understanding of AEM Components & Templates, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, DAM/Assets, Workflows, Authoring & Publishing, and MSM/Localization.
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience.
- Strong experience writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong requirement gathering and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working closely with AEM developers and technical architects.
- Solid understanding of web/digital experience platforms.
Good to Have
- AEM 6.5 and/or AEM as a Cloud Service.
- Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem knowledge.
- Understanding of REST APIs and system integrations.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies.
- Experience with Adobe Analytics / Target.
- Experience with CMS migration or AEM modernization projects.
- AEM certification.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be able to confidently explain how they would convert a business requirement into an AEM feature/user story, determine whether a new AEM component or configuration is required, explain AEM authoring and publishing, and manage AEM requirements within a Scrum sprint.

- AEM developer experience without genuine BA/requirements ownership.
- Cannot demonstrate examples of converting business requirements into AEM user stories/features.
