Must-Have Skills
- 3–6 years of hands-on Azure Data Engineering experience.
- Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- Python, PySpark, Apache Spark and advanced SQL.
- ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture.
- ETL/ELT, batch processing, incremental loads, CDC and upsert patterns.
- Spark performance tuning and distributed data processing.
- Git and CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Databricks Unity Catalog, Auto Loader and Structured Streaming.
- Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric or Power BI.
- Azure Functions, Azure Batch, Event Hubs or Kafka.
- Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Docker, Terraform, dbt or Airflow.
- Healthcare analytics or regulated-domain experience.
- GitHub Copilot, Claude or other AI-assisted development tools.
- Azure or Databricks Data Engineer certification.
