About the RoleLight Forma is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior AutoCAD 2D Draftsman to join our Malabar HQ Office on a full-time basis.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and professional 2D lighting layouts, technical drawings, working drawings, coordination drawings, and project documentation for architectural lighting projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare professional 2D lighting drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop lighting layouts based on architectural and lighting design concepts.
- Prepare ceiling lighting plans, fixture layouts, sections, details, and working drawings.
- Coordinate lighting drawings with architectural, interior, electrical, and MEP drawings.
- Understand architectural plans, reflected ceiling plans, dimensions, levels, and interior layouts.
- Prepare fixture schedules, legends, annotations, and drawing details.
- Make revisions based on instructions from lighting designers and project teams.
- Maintain proper CAD layers, blocks, XREFs, templates, and drawing standards.
- Prepare execution-ready drawings for site and contractor coordination.
- Check drawings for accuracy and identify clashes or inconsistencies.
- Maintain organized project files and drawing documentation.
- Support and guide junior draftsmen when required.
- Complete assigned drawings within project deadlines.

Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3+ years of professional AutoCAD drafting experience.
- Strong command of AutoCAD 2D.
- Experience in architectural, interior, electrical, or lighting drafting.
- Good understanding of architectural and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of layers, blocks, XREFs, dimensions, annotations, layouts, and plotting.




- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to understand design requirements and convert them into professional technical drawings.
- Ability to independently handle assigned drawing packages.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines in a professional design-office environment.

Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in architectural lighting design, lighting consultancy, electrical lighting layouts, or architectural offices will be preferred. Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, or other design software will be an added advantage.

Senior-Level ExpectationsThe Senior AutoCAD 2D Draftsman is expected to take ownership of assigned projects, maintain high drawing standards, coordinate effectively with the design team, and ensure drawings are accurate and ready for execution.

The role requires more than basic drafting skills—the candidate should be able to understand design intent, identify technical requirements, and independently produce high-quality lighting drawings.
