ownpath Studios is looking for an Associate Product Designer to help turn ideas and user needs into simple, thoughtful digital experiences. You'll work alongside experienced designers, strategists, and engineers across different stages of the design process - from research and exploration to user flows, wireframes, visual design, and prototypes. You'll get exposure to a range of products and industries, working across websites, web and mobile applications, and emerging AI-powered experiences.

This role is ideal for someone with solid design fundamentals who is curious, eager to learn, and excited to solve real problems through design. You'll be encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, build your craft, and gradually take ownership of parts of projects from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities

- Design Fundamentals - Translate user needs and business goals into wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces
- Contribute to visual and interaction design across client and internal projects
- Work within and contribute to design systems
- Participate in design critiques and iterate based on feedback
- Deliver high-quality design assets that developers can easily implement
- Collaborate Across Functions - Work closely with founders, PMs, and engineers to align on scope and requirements
- Support design delivery on key client projects with guidance from senior team members
- Communicate your design decisions clearly,



with both internal and external stakeholders
- Improve Process & Practice - Help evolve internal design tools and workflows
- Participate in shaping project rituals (like reviews, check-ins, and retrospectives)
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset to your craft and the team
- Learn, Share, and Grow - Receive regular mentorship from senior designers and advisors
- Contribute to content creation - from design breakdowns to behind-the-scenes reels
- Share your learnings via team discussions, AMAs, or posts (we'll support you!)
- Grow into a future mentor and design leader

Requirements

- 0-1 years of experience designing digital products (web or mobile)
- Strong portfolio that shows thoughtful UX/UI decisions
- A good grasp of design tools (Figma preferred) and familiarity with design systems
- Curiosity about users: You ask good questions, run small tests, and iterate based on feedback
- Solid communicator: You can explain your design decisions clearly to teammates and stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset: You're open to feedback, eager to learn, and enjoy working closely with others
- Bonus: Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment
