Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, energetic, and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to support and manage the daily operations of our café in Calicut. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing store operations, managing staff, coordinating purchases and inventory, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring excellent customer service and customer relations.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the café.
- Ensure smooth opening and closing of the store.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and store presentation.
- Ensure all operational procedures and company policies are followed.

Staff Management
- Supervise, guide, and motivate the café team.
- Manage staff schedules, attendance, and daily responsibilities.
- Train recent employees and support the development of existing staff.
- Maintain a positive, productive, and disciplined work environment.

Purchase & Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory and stock levels.
- Coordinate the purchase of ingredients, supplies, packaging, and other operational requirements.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality products.
- Minimize wastage and maintain accurate inventory records.

Quality & Customer Service
- Ensure consistent quality of food, beverages, and overall service.




- Monitor customer service standards and ensure a welcoming experience.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
- Handle operational and service issues promptly.

Customer Relations
- Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and concerns professionally.
- Ensure every customer receives a friendly and memorable café experience.

Reporting & Administration
- Assist with daily sales, operational, and inventory reporting.
- Monitor wastage, expenses, and stock usage.
- Report any staff, maintenance, inventory, or customer-related issues to management.
- Support management in improving sales, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, hospitality, or retail management role is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in inventory management and purchasing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
