Role Description The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions in their area of specialization, ensuring that course content is current, engaging, and aligned with the curriculum. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, evaluating student performance through assignments and examinations, and offering academic guidance and mentoring to learners. The role also involves contributing to departmental activities, participating in curriculum development, engaging in research or scholarly projects, and supporting accreditation and quality assurance initiatives.

Professor is expected to collaborate with colleagues,



attend academic meetings, and contribute to institutional events and outreach activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the R.R. Institute of Technology campus in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Tech, M.E., or Master’s in a related discipline); Ph.D. in the relevant field is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge in the chosen engineering or technology specialization and ability to teach core and elective courses effectively.
- Demonstrated teaching aptitude, including lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment.
- Research orientation with interest in publishing in academic journals, presenting at conferences, and guiding student projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Commitment to student-centric learning, inclusive teaching practices, and ethical academic conduct.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff, contribute to departmental initiatives, and participate in institutional development activities.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools, learning management systems, and basic computer applications used in teaching.
- Industry exposure, professional certifications, or experience in applied projects will be considered an added advantage.
