Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Instruction: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses such as General Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics, and upper-level specialty courses aligned with the candidate's area of expertise (e.g., Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, or Social Psychology).
- Research & Lab Management: Establish and maintain an active, externally fundable research program, mentor student research assistants, and publish findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
- Student Mentorship: Provide academic advising, guide undergraduate and graduate theses, and support student career or graduate school preparation.
- Service: Participate in departmental committees, faculty governance, curriculum reviews, and skilled outreach initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Ph.D.
in Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Teaching Experience: Demonstrated effectiveness in university-level classroom teaching, course design, and student assessment.
- Scholarship: A strong record of—or clear potential for—scholarly publication and securing research funding.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) and psychological research methodologies.
