The Assistant Manager MEP & HVAC Engineering will be responsible for the planning, design review, technical supervision, coordination, implementation, operation, and maintenance of MEP and HVAC systems across projects. This role requires strong technical expertise and coordination capabilities to ensure the successful delivery, commissioning, and performance of integrated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, applicable codes, regulations, and industry best practices. The position demands a seasoned MEP & HVAC professional with experience in managing large-scale commercial, convention, exhibition, infrastructure, and integrated building projects, with solid technical acumen in HVAC systems, central chilled-water plants, District Cooling Systems, BMS, electrical systems, plumbing and firefighting systems.

The role will involve coordination with architects, structural consultants, contractors, OEMs, PMC/PMA, facility operators, and other stakeholders, while ensuring quality assurance, timely execution, statutory compliance, energy efficiency, system performance, and smooth project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) designs, plans, and specifications for projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders for handover/takeover of MEP systems in order to ensure seamless and optimal functionality and efficiency
- Operations and Maintenance, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines
- Conduct quality inspections and audits of MEP installations to identify defects, deficiencies, and deviations from design requirements, and implement corrective measures as necessary
- Assist in cost estimation, budgeting,



and procurement of MEP materials and equipment, optimizing costs while maintaining quality and performance standards
- Identify potential risks and challenges related to MEP systems during the project lifecycle, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success
- Prepare detailed MEP drawings, documentation, progress reports, and as-built records, maintaining accurate records of project milestones, expenses, and performance metrics
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and vendors regarding MEPrelated matters, addressing inquiries, providing technical guidance, and resolving issues promptly
- Stay abreast of regulatory updates, codes, and standards related to MEP systems, ensuring projects comply with all relevant regulations and requirements
- Analyse HVAC systems and equipment when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and create solutions to optimize performance and increase the efficiency of operation; Knowledge of and experience in District Cooling Systems (DCS), including their operation and management.
- Design testing procedures and control equipment to accurately assess products and identify areas that require modification and further testing
- Communicate directly with stakeholders to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments in order to evaluate cost, feasibility, and implementation of HVAC equipment




- Create and submit detailed bids that outline costs and timelines for construction or extraction projects in accordance with deadlines.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the Management from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

- MEP design, installation, and project management.
- Strong technical proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and familiarity with building information modelling (BIM) processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and resolving complex MEP-related issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of and experience in the operation and management of electromechanical equipment and systems, preferably in exhibition halls, convention centres, or large expo centres buildings.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems and construction.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Nationality: Indian.
- Age: Candidate should normally not be above 32 years of age.
- Academic Qualification: Should be B.Tech in Mechanical engineering or in any equivalent discipline from reputed and recognized university or institution with good academic record. ASHRAE and BMS/IBMS certification shall be preferable. Desirable: Post Graduate Diploma in MEP
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in MEP & HVAC Engineering project implementation /project management. At least 2 years in project management roles managing multiple MEP & HVAC Engineering projects.

DESIGNATION, REPORTING & JOB LOCATION The designation shall be “Assistant Manager – MEP & HVAC Engineering” and the job location will be in Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi but may require frequent travel.
