Reporting Manager: Chief Engineer / CEO (as assigned)

Location: North Goa, Candolim

Role Overview The Assistant Maintenance Manager Electrical will support the engineering & maintenance operations of a high-end, multi-use tourism complex, with a strong focus on electrical systems, load management, and power distribution. The role ensures safe, efficient, and uninterrupted electrical operations while assisting in maintaining other facility systems as required. The position contributes to preventive and emergency maintenance, asset protection, regulatory compliance, and a positive environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance & Operations

- Oversee day-to-day electrical maintenance activities focusing on load sharing, load distribution, and power quality.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including transformers, panels, DG sets, UPS, lighting systems, and distribution boards.
- Ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency of all electrical equipment.
- Support commissioning, installation, testing, and upgrades of electrical infrastructure.
- Maintain all electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining and operating BMS, HVAC electrical controls, water treatment plant electricals, and life safety systems (fire alarms, emergency lighting).

Property Operations & Support

- Manage overall engineering operations.
- Participate in preventive maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution for electrical systems and estate facilities.
- Maintain accurate logs, checklists, and documentation for electrical activities, incidents,



and energy consumption.
- Conduct regular inspections to assess electrical equipment health and identify work requirements.
- Recommend upgrades, repairs, and replacement of electrical equipment when needed.

Budgeting & Procurement (Support Role)

- Assist in managing maintenance budgets and controlling departmental expenses.
- Support procurement of electrical spares, equipment, and service contracts.
- Ensure cost-effective vendor management and timely availability of materials.

Customer Service & Issue Resolution

- Address and resolve maintenance-related guest complaints or facility issues promptly.
- Ensure minimal downtime and maintain a guest-friendly, safe workplace.

Team Coordination

- Guide and monitor technicians and contractors working on electrical systems.
- Ensure that safety procedures, SOPs, and compliance guidelines are followed.
- Support performance evaluation, documentation, and disciplinary processes as required.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelors Degree / Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- 4-5 years of experience in hospitality, real estate, or facility management, with strong exposure to electrical maintenance.

Skills

- Strong understanding of load management, power distribution, and electrical safety.
- Hands-on experience with DG sets, UPS, electrical panels, and HT/LT systems.
- Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and emergency response capability.
- Interpersonal and team coordination skills.
- Procurement and vendor negotiation exposure (preferred).
